Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I'd run a double eagle look (both DTs in 3 techniques) with the 52 and bring down one of the safeties into almost a 53 look. With a 62, I'd probably put both defensive guards's in 2's crashing or in 2i's with the DT's in a 4i out on the OT's. I'd play the DE's pretty wide in a two point stance and would keep the LB's at 5 yds (at least) in that 62 look.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
In a 6-2 if BOTH Guards are in a 1 TECHNIQUE - they must not get split more than fingertip touch apart. THEN - if you use this technique they will be a BITCH to trap!
ONE TECHNIQUE: ALIGN WITH OUTSIDE SHOE TO CROTCH OF THE OG. (TAKE A SHORT STEP WITH OUTSIDE FOOT READING OG — STAB HANDS AND EXPLODE OUT OF HIPS): A GAP RESPONSIBILITY! A. Vs. DOWN BLOCK OF OG: Squeeze OG over to B gap. Stay square and keep inside arm free. Control A gap and look for cutback. B. Vs. BLOCK BY CENTER: OG pulls inside - dip inside shoulder and attack Center on your angle. If his head is in front of you, widen him and work to cross face. If his head is behind you, fold behind him. C. Vs. TRAP: OG releases outside - flash inside for trapper. Attack trapping OG — take out his inside shoulder with your outside shoulder. Come underneath OG.
