Does anybody play their 33 with the Spurs lined up with the monster at 9-10 yds depth? What are the advantages of this aliment as oppossed to where most people play them at L.O.S. or a bit off. I remmber seeing a HS team powerpoint on Glaizer that ran the stack this way but can not find that powerpoint. Thanks for any info

Coach the reason is the coverage desception that the look causes. Offense must determine with spur is the deep drop defender and which is the short drop or rush defender. Coach CAmpbell
Coach Specht's defense at Xavier HS in Ohio features a similar look coach, where they essentially play an inverted Cover 3 by dropping their spurs to each outside 1/3.
