AD or Not

I have not done both at the same time, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but the issue is a question on whether you can do two jobs effectively at the same time. During the football season, you would have to be AD for football, volleyball, soccer...whatever other sports you have at that time of year. Of the people I know who have done both, the biggest issue becomes perception from other coaches on money distribution. Anytime you get new equipment for the football team, coaches/players/parents of other sports will check to see it looks "fair". If you are new to the school, I would figure your biggest hurdle would be building a level of trust with your fellow coaches...you wouldn't necessarily be a colleague to them as you would be without the AD title.
