thanks Bill. we've asked the same question on a couple different blogs and we're gonna take all the feedback, do some research and come up with some conclusions over the next few weeks. we'll post the results and what we're going to do about it. thanks! - John
Actually the cost for a large coaching staff isn't a big deal, but for a small one like mine, it is more of an issue. We actually chose to go to a Nike clinic because of the cost difference, and ended up getting a Glazier pass donated by the Marines later, which was fantastic. I would also agree on the speaker selection. I would like to see some more area HS coaches and small college coaches speak at the Glazier clinics. This was the first Nike clinic I've been to, and I was impressed with how they got area HS and smaller college coaches come in to talk of how they go about things. Frankly, it doesn't do me any good to listen to the defensive line coach from the University of Texas tell me how he coaches his 310 lb DT who runs a 4.6 40 yd dash. That athlete doesn't exist to 99.9% of football coaches out there. I am interested in hearing how a coach is able to get more from his C+ talent than would ever be expected by anyone, or how he is able to get his booster club to support their team rather than meddle with their team, etc. Find those successful small school coaches who can help those around them with how they are able to step out of the box and boost their club despite the shortcomings around them.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
