Does anyone have new ideas to make practice more exciting for the players, instead of just the old traditional way of practicing. Just looking for new ideas! Thanks
when u do drills, turn them into competitions. example: red zone team period; if offense scores in 3 downs the defense does some sort of conditioning, and if defense holds, offense does some sort of conditioning. You could also do like winners of the period, if defense gave offense the business then they run, say 2 less sprints after practice or after the period. any time you introduce competition in practice it makes it more exciting. something else that i like to do with my group (i'm a middle school coach), is if the offense scores the defensive coordinator does 5 up downs and if the defense holds the offensive coordinator does 5 up downs, or does up downs with the players. they really get amped up when they see that the coach has to do up downs!

Games are won during the season, Championships are won in the off-season.
Going off of what Coach Medinger is saying, throw in those competitive sessions at various times during your indy/group/team time. Just blow the whistle/horn, everyone stops what they are doing and come together to run those competitions...do this a couple of times during the practice, and it will break up the monotony well. We do this for our "Fast 5" each week. It works well.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
