Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We run mostly rocket toss with FB belly or trap and also a wingback counter off of rocket action. We have a 3 step game. The last game or two we have had trouble with teams running double 3 techs and then putting both ILBs in the A gaps. Sometimes they are just lined up real tight and plugging those gaps and sometimes they are blitzing right at the snap from 1-2 yards back. We have hit some big plays since they have no inside-out pursuit but teams are slanting the DLine out through the B and C gaps making it tough to reach them to get to the edge. I am looking for something to run to force teams to keep those LBs back at normal depth. I am thinking some kind of a dump or slant by a TE or wing off of rocket action. Any thoughts by anyone?
