I remember back in the early 90's with Jimmy Johnson and Norv Turner that the Cowboys used to run alot of lead draw with Emmitt Smith. Why was that running play so affective and how was it run?
SIMPLE: To playside use "BOB" protection & FH (H) lead on LB. QB keeps his eyes on the F/S until hehands off on 3rd step (of a 5 step drop). RB shows pass pro & receives ball on QB's 3rd step.
In a survey done in the NFL a few years ago - it averaged more yards per play than any run.
