Coach Campbell, What about taking the Zone Read concept from the gun, and running ith with 2 backs so you have a pitch man if the QB pulls the ball? I guess it would look like veer, as you are reading tne 5 tech, and pitching off the next level defender.

They were tinkering with it at the time but you could see a lot of potential. They ran it exactly the same way you are talking about.

Coach Vint I've been running the gun runs since 97 and great change up for your opponents to have to get ready for. Indeed you can run gun with two backs the options come off the QB reading the 5 techniques and outside inverts. Many different plays can be run from this set as well as a one back set. The real key to all this as far as I'm concerned is how you tie the passing game to all of it. Coach CAmpbell
