Over the past several years the process in which we use to game plan our opponents has changed. With the development of hudl we have the ability to trade film without meeting up with our opponent. On Wednesday we trade film. Our junior high staff will begin the process of breaking down the first two films during the remainder of the week. On Friday night after the game our junior high staff will digitize and break down our game. The film will be ready for the varsity staff to grade on Saturday morning. The staff will then meet at 7:30 A.M. and we will discuss the previous game. After this meeting every varsity coach will begin grading their position. After we are done grading the game film the staff will begin to break down our opponent's film. Our athletes will report to us at some point on Saturday. The meeting time is dictated by whether or not we won or lost. If we won our players are to report at noon for treatment and they will meet with individual coaches at 1:00. If we lose the player will report at 9:00 for treatment, at 10:00 they will have a weight and conditioning workout. At 11:00 they will meet with their position coach. After the players leave we will continue to work on our opponent's game film. Once the game film has been broken down we will leave for the evening.
On Sunday the defensive and offensive coordinators will meet at 10:00 am and we will review the previous game one more time then move on to our next opponent. We believe that as long as we fix us we will win. I meet individually with the defensive coordinator at 11:00 and the offensive coordinator at 11:30. At 2:00 the entire staff reports to the office to meet with the coordinators. During this time they establish a game plan for the week. At 4:00 pm I will meet with our special teams' coordinator to review the special teams plan and practices for the week. Once the offensive and defensive coordinators feel comfortable with their game and practice plans, we will then have a brief staff meeting. We make an effort on the weekend to put our players in the best possible position to be successful on Friday night. We will work as long as we need to get this done.
