In the latest edition of the Mesh Point (Volume 11) Coach Rob Zeitman, Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI talks about the Short Pistol Option Offense that propelled the FSU Bulldogs of his long time associate and Head Coach Tony Annese to an 8-3 overall record and a second-place 8-2 finish in the tough GLIAC North Division standings in 2013. This year marked the second consecutive year in which FSU broke the school single-season rushing record under Zeitman and Annese, as Ferris State led the GLIAC and ranked sixth nationally in rushing offense( with a school-record 317.4 yards per game) and had the GLIAC's second-highest scoring offense (38.8 ppg) and ranked 12th nationally in total offense (492.5 yards per game).
