Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coaches, we are due to play a team that base almost their entire offense on the QB's ability to threaten the perimeter of the defense. They mostly run bootleg, rollouts and waggles, as well as running the backs between the tackles. Any fronts, coverages or scheme details that will help us counter this? Any information much appreciated, they can be very frustrating to prepare for, as they tend not to have any rhyme or reason in their playcalling, instead just relying on their QB's athletic abilty!

Coach, tell your defensive end and outside invert that if flow goes away, drop the anchor and stay put. Make sure that they keep their contain responsibility and you will be fine. Stress this all week in practice. Make them your top priority all week.

Coach Cella, We beat them 6-0, first time we have ever beaten them in team history in the top division. We held them to 43 yds rushing, 103 total, forced and recovered 3 fumbles, picked off two passes, and sacked the bootlegging QB 4 times. Thought you might like to know after your input!

Vs the 40 fronts a 7 tech should not be responsible for contain with run his side, he becomes the contain man vs pass. Whenever playing with a 7 tech. the outside invert with run their side should have the contain. A 7 tech. should wrong arm any kick out blocks either by a guard or the fullback, with the invert located outside the 7 tech. the ball should spill to him. Coach Campbell

Coach if the quarterback sprints out towards the tight end you can use a delay release by the tight end and or make sure your doing it from one back scenerios. Coach CAmpbell
hey coaches I was wondering your goal line adjustments using a 4-4 defense against a two back-te -2 wr offense and against full backfields. Was thinking pulling the safety out and putting a nose in and playing cover 1 behind it.
