A big "COACHING POINT" for our QB's is that "YOUR EYES MUST STAY SLIGHTLY AHEAD OF YOUR FEET" (because zone defenders READ QB's eyes).
In other words - on a 5 step drop when progressing to the 2 OR 3 receivers in the 1/3 (VERTICAL) or 1/2 (HORIZONTAL) his "directional read" ((Pre-Snap and/or Post-Snap) has taken him to, he must have completed his read of the PROGRESSION either BEFORE or AS the last step hits the ground.
This prevents him from having to hold the ball, be late on the throw, throw an interception, and/or get sacked!!!
