Yeah I figured inside zone isn't ideal against the 4-4, there might be a chance for a cutback but that would be tough. Plus the Center would have a tough block on the playside backer.

I'm with Coach Vint the midline and tightside ISO would be good plays. Coach CAmpbell

I read somewhere that in order for a defense to be sound, there must not be more than 4 techniques in alignment by the defensive front (e.g. DT in a 2, DE in a 7: 7-2=5. This alignment is unsound, it is vulnerable at this point). In Coach Joe's post, " DT's both in 3 techs" it would be -3-3=-6 or 6 techniques seperating the DTs, falling into the unsound devensive front theory.

Maybe there is a check call in your offenses to a quick hitting iso call (like others suggested) or a goose play (QB reads wide alignment to take away perimeter attack and 'gooses' center and follows him to the LBs), nothing better to get a DCs attention than going 2 on 11 and getting 5 yards.

PS.... Coach Campbell congrats on the new gig. 4000 students.....400 kids in the football program.....You people down there in the United States of Texas sure do love your football!!! If you need to shed some, let 'em know I've got an apartment complex in Rialto, CA, and I'm sure I could find some jobs for their parents too......Rent's cheap if they can play!!! LOL

Seriously, what the heck do you do with 400 kids?? Figuring the odds (1:20) you've got about 20 thoroughbreds, and quite a few mustangs that need breakin'? Must be nice to have so much talent in the pipeline! Good Coaching!! (It doesn't sound like you need luck).
