Game planning is consistent week to week, as a coaching staff we put a system in place in spring that we adhere to. Each coach has a responsibility when it comes to film study, breaking down plays, making scout practice plans, putting together personnel groups, recognizing tendencies, developing play call sheets, and the overall scheme that will be executed that week. For the most part each year is the same as to who will be responsible for what, certain coaches are better at specific things than others and we I look to take advantage of that. I will never ask a coach to do something unless I know and they know they will put great effort and dedication into the assignment at hand. Our heavy game planning days fall on Saturday and Sunday, thats when we break down the film of our opponent and start to install the game plan for that week. All of our coaches are involved with the scheme that will be executed that week, everyone has a voice and their ideas and opinions are taken into great consideration. Every Sunday night the coordinators and head coach will have a conference call and go over any last details or changes before the installing of the game plan happens on Monday. Responsibilities and expectations are very clear and important, each coach knows their role and what level they are expected to deliver. When it comes to in week game planning procedures we operate on a specific system of installing the game plan Monday, which is our heavy learning day, and then Tuesday through Thursday is a combination of mental and physical preparation just like any other team. Each day our athletes are encouraged to ask questions and be a proactive problem solver, if your not improving your doing yourself a disservice. Preparation is the key to success, do the small things right and be able to be proud of what you have done when you go to sleep at night.
