Coaches,
We are moving to a 50 defense next season. We were recently reclassified into a new division, and our 4-4 / 4-3 fronts were getting anniahlated in this very run-oriented division. I feel that it's a great defense for the majority of our opponents. The only concern I have is a team that runs multiple 2 and 1 back sets and is heavy on the midline option. They're not a very good team overall, and we beat them last year, but their QB is a great athlete and did hurt us quite a bit.
Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to deal with this?
