NOTE:  In watching a recent Alex Gibbs lecture - he emphasized the fact that one of the most important aspects of O-LINE play (that most OLM coming to him have NOT been taught) is gaining LEVERAGE by dipping hips (rolling hips) on contact and "HITTING ON THE RISE".  An EXAMPLE of TEACHING this on the  basic DRIVE BLOCK = attached.

STRESS THE FOLLOWING:  Blocking surface (drive the elbows tight to your ribs & make contact with a triangle of hat & hands (thumbs up) to a lockout; contact the short ribs at the bottom of his pads & “lift him out of his socks” on a 45 degree angle with fork lift motion.  Shoot the hips (to unlock the power).
