Load/Lead Option

Do most teams reach across the front and let the fb arc outside?

Coach the key to running the Lead Option which I call the load option is the ability to get your tackle and Tight End working together on a combo block which I call a "Trey " block. This walls off the playside LBer. With Lead option (Load) you want your QB reading and pitching off the 9 tech. The fullback will load the frist defender past the 9 tech. which for the most part will be the free safety or alley player. Coach CAmpbell
