run and shoot choice and choice balanced route

Airman,

What type of choice route do you run. Is it out of a 3 step drop or 5 step drop?? For the 3 step route do you run a slant, out or hitch?? For 5 step is it skinny post if the defender is outside and speed out if the defender is inside??

I was thinking you can have your best reciever lineup weakside by himself and run a 5 step choice. If the choice is covered you can have a high/low combination comiing into the middle of the field like a dig/drag or deep square in/ medium square in. The choice is a timing route so it is thrown when the 5th step hits the ground (either the skinny post or out). if it is covered hitch and go to the high/low. would this be sound??
