What do you coaches do to slow down a crashing DE when you run the lead option to the split end side? Or do you just let him keep coming and keep pitching quickly to the TB?

Let him coming and then quick pitch off him. Its a good play this besides the lead is known as an openside Load Option as I like to call it. But continue to pitch off him and bring your guard and tackle around on a duece combo to the playside LBer. Coach Campbell
Wouldn't that crashing DE on the open side be the defender the PT and PG would duece/combo? I'm assuming you would be talking about a 2 or 3 tech (DT) and a 4 or 5 tech (DE). If he was a 5, would you not run either inside veer or midline since I know it is preferable to run the load at a reduced 5. I want to make sure I'm clear on this too. pdow
