When building the slide protection scheme off BOB, does the slide occur from the weakside or the strongside? In other words, is it the first uncovered linemen starting with the weak OT or the strong OT?

Coach the slide occurs if off the BOB principle by the uncovered lineman in a double read position. Example for the slide would be the lineman away from the back if used in protection. If both backs out and the tight end stays the slide would occur away from the tight end. Coach Campbell

Coach the slide will happen away from the direction the back goes to block. What you have is a back in a double read callside and the uncovered lineman in a double read backside. Coach CAmpbell
Coach, in an Ace formation I assume your (we use our TB) would be in the pattern and the FB will be blocking to the TE side, therefore your backside guard or center whomever is uncovered would have a double read to the backside and your FB would have a double read to the TE side (inside/outside). Coach Campbell do I have this right? thanks
Coach correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I got the nasty, tuff, and soft. Nasty- to TE side when backer threatens inside, block inside with FB going immediately to outside player, no double read to TE side Tuff - OT alerts tuff if edge player is tight to line and threat to openside double read, Soft is alert call to let double read player to Openside know he can stay inside longer with less of threat to his outside. How am I doing? thanks again coach for all of your help. Looking forward to seeing you and working option with you on May 18 in the Bronx.

Coach if the tight end is out in a route then the fullback will take his protection towards the tight end with the tailback headed out towards the openside. Their are several ways to take the Tailback out towards the openside one is on a read out and the other on a flare or swing route to pull the outside invert of his blitz. Coach CAmpbell
