Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
snapping up on an incline will cause his snaps to go high once he is on regular ground. He should be on an incline snapping downhill. This will force him to keep his snaps low.
When I was ATU one summer they had a deep snapper from the Colts come to practice one day. He worked with me on using both hands to pass over my head standing up for warm up and told me to use the Lat machine in the gym and do pull downs while standing up. He also said that to picture a window by the up back in front of the kicker and try to hit it instead of the punter. These worked great for me.

Coach Hull great to hear from you. The kick slide is the action generated when the deep snapper snaps the ball back to the punter. The snapper should push his feet back on the snap to generate addition speed on the ball. Hope all is well. Coach CAmpbell
When long snapping what is the hand placement on the ball? Also, when in position to snap the ball, where would a right handed persons right hand be? Are his fingers touching the ground? DC

I deep snapped in high school and in college. I did not know that what I did was a kick slide, but I teach this to my snapperheads now.
As far as hand placement on the ball I use the following for a right handed thrower.
Right hand on the upper laces of the ball (if the ball was on the ground standing on its nose) Fingers spread out as far as the snapper can. Ball is slightly cupped on the right forearm. left hand on the back seam of the ball, with the left middle finger in the seam Fingers spread out as far as they can for control of the ball
Personal Prefernce: Stand the ball on its nose.
When the snapper snaps the ball the ball should rise on a level from the ground to the snappers knees. With the arms snapping back this should start the motion for the kick slide, the snapper pushes back with his toes. On releasing the ball, the snapper should end up with hands slapping the back of his legs with his thumbs pointed to the sky!
Aiming point. I just have them aim for the belly button of the punter.
ALL VERY INFORMATIVE POSTS ON THIS VITAL TOPIC! AFTER BEING INTRODUCED TO THE WINDOWS TECHNIQUE, (AS DESCRIBED ABOVE) IMPLEMENTED IT AND VERY HAPPY TO REPORT OUR CENTRS LIKE IT!
