We only run the midline vs a 3 tech. so the rules stay pretty consistant. We will combo a backside 1 tech with guard and center and they fold the tackle and tight end position playside. The backside tackle stays solid with the 5 tech. Coach CAmpbell

Coach when we played Westlake and beat them vs their 50 front I paired the inside veer with an openside load and never gave them a tight end, also Westlake never really gave us a 3 tech.. Coach CAmpbell
Coaches, How would you block the midline vs 52 Monster. The Defense is head up on the center and guards, Defensive ends are outside shade on the TE. Monster is outside the box splitting the difference between the TE and Flanker.
Coach Harrison
PS We are an I team and usually run the midline as a double option with the Dive or the QB running the ball
Coach, I think the key is to have inside veer, midline, and load all at your disposal. Otherwise, the defense will be able to dictate to a certain degree what you will be able to run. If you have all three, the QB can call them from the line and always put you in the best case scenario. Otherwise you're guessing on w2hat to call or playing against a team that doesn't give you many different looks.
I have always liked the Midline versus a 3tech. and then compliment it with a "Q" play. We simply called a Midline action with the FB but based the 3tech. and had the PST and TE Fold; the PST Kicks out the end (only if he is on a 7or 8tech on the TE otherwise we based with both) and the TE Folds under 2nd to the OLB inside. Great play for a QB with some speed. I also told the PSG to get a BIG split and get Vertical to the ILB, take half the DT and slow his squezze. The PST should climb quick to the OLB to the strong and crash him down if he flows inside and turn-out if he flys to QB to pitch. The FB really must find the Ass of the PST and turn vertical at his hip("ass") You gotta live or die by the Veer, be it; inside, midline or outside. Veer it Up!
