Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Yes, we got the tape and have implemented the stretching routine. We were already doing some, but not all of those.
The spread we will see does not use a TE but does combine one and two back sets. Formations are tripps, twins with split end, and twins on both sides. Lots of running plays. Short trap inside to the halfback, long trap outside with the QB, speed option, tray, dart, shuffle pass, and zone. They try to spread us and run the ball. We are looking at keeping six in the box and play aggressive with the FS vs. runs.
Coach, Man I hope you liked the tape we sent.... We really have found a lot of success with that...
The gun with 2 backs is like the single wing or any other miss direction... If you keep 6 in the box you should be able to beat the run.. but then again most good offensive teams count how many you got then they throw... I hate those offensive guys.
Six in the box. If your to spurs? (outside inside backers) are reading the guards you should be fine. And or blitz the trap and other plays. and still drop or play man. The great thing about the 3-3 you out number the offense if they take out the te. They have to throw or you will crush the run..
Coach I would love to see what you have 3-3 and I would love to get more into this with you..... Give me a call 760- 955-3353 7183
We really like the tape. Even showed it to the players so they could see how to perform the stretches. We have added a few static stretches between each movment.
The 33 scheme looked good in our scrimmage this past week. We had three d linemen that had never played in a game, one was a freshman, and the slants created a lot of havoc for the offense. We just ran into a lot of plays by taking our slant steps. Of course it helps having a Mike LB who can run and read the offense.
The naked boot has hurt us in practice and cost one time in the scrimmage. The spurs (OBS) have been so aggressive in pursuit, they take them selves out of position.
vs. the spread are your spurs cross keying the guards?
Thanks for all of the discussion and the videos, they have helped tremendously. I have a full teaching load so I don't get much time to call during the day but if I can get ahead on grading, I'll try to call.
Coach, Great stuff, we tell our contain player whoever it may be he has COBRA. C=cutback B=Bootleg (naked) R=reverse It can be our end, INLB or OLB.
We will look at the guards in spread because of trap, counter etc... Also 2 back gun we have to look at guards because it gets wild with what they do in the backfield. Thanks GOLLA
