Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
With the inside zone from the the gun you need to get the RB to get his shoulders squared to the LOS to get a smooth cutback. So the initial footwork would be for the back to drop stop with playside foot so that he can get his shoulders squared so he now can read LBers for cut. coach Campbell
Thanks coach. How does your QB open up on inside and outside zone to keep from getting his feet tangled with the RB? Does he drop step or step forward? Also with the back looking for daylight and the QB always reading the 5tech, which person do you leave in charge of making sure the ball is handed securly? I would think the QB but I wondered if it's hard for him to do that and read the 5.

Coach for the inside play your running back will drop step with playside foot and then coming over to get ball from QB this squares his shoulders. The QB on inside will push away allowing the running back to roll over and square his shoulders, the qb reaches the ball out while pushing away from the back. With the outside zone the QB receives the ball and reaches it over to his back the back attacks the outside zone with his shoulders running at a 45 degree angle. Coach CAmpbell
