Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am a fairly new coach to football and I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on how I should do my pre-game warm ups. I only have 22 players, I have 8 linemen, and most of my players go both ways. For example, my running backs are my field kickers and punters. What is the best way to organize?
Coach we go out and stretch with just the specialists about an hour and 15 minutes prior to kickoff. In your case I would bring out everyone. After strething and running we go to kicking stations. We try to set up 3 stations. One for Kickoffs close to one sideline going into the endzone, one for punts the opposite sideline going into the endzone and one for extra points. Because of the limited players you have I would have the lineman shag balls for your kickers (they would probably love it). I might move from one spot to the other with everyone moving at once. IF your kickers are your returners after they had warmed up as kickers I would have a coach either kick or throw the ball to the returner so he at least has an opportunity to field some balls. After that we go to individual defensive drills for about 8 minutes, then switch to offensive indivual drills for 8 minutes. We then put our 1st defense on the 10 yard line and have the best available offense run scout against them for 5 minutes and then switch with 1st offense vs best available scout defense for 5 minutes and then we go in about 20 minutes prior to kickoff. Good luck
