Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Does anyone have a set of measurables to guage stamina, speed and strength? I want to be able to put in a '3.S.' (Speed, Strength and Stamina) session from time to time. I've announced this to my guys and they all said it would help them with something to aim at but I need specifics.
My initial thinking was to measure linemen and the rest seperately.
Linemen on number football field widths they can run in a 5 minute period. Bench press and squats by max weight and rep and a 40 yard dash.
The rest would do the same but replace field length for width or time laps of a field.
Any ideas?

I would say that your idea of having the linemen run 5 minutes across the field might not be a great one. Although it will be anaerobic, you might not truly be testing the energy systems they will be stressing during a game. I would defer the 5-minute test to one of the standard 300 yard tests. My favorite is placing cones 50 yards apart, and having them run back and forth 3 times (which equals 300 yards). Record the times, but keep a watch running. When they have had a 5 minute rest, they run it again. You need to look at two things. First, the speed of the first time, and second the difference between the second time and the first. This will tell you a few things: if the kid is anaerobically fit, if he has some speed to pull downfield, and if he has any guts.
