Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am looking for some good running plays vs DE's at 5 techs, Head up Nose and LB's over guards. This allowing them to keep 5 in the box and 6 in the back to cover for pass. How are offenses handling the Nose, if you have to double team him...then you lose the extra man advantage from the offense. What are you doing to run effectively vs this front?
We base the nose when we run inside zone, but we are pretty good at Center. If you have to Combo the nose you can still be effective, the nose and the BSG are still blocking the nose and the BSLB.
Counter Trey is good. Trap the 5. If he comes inside, wash him down and trap the End.
You can run lead. PSG and C combo the nose to the BSLB and the BSG pulls and leads up on the PSLB.
If they get in 4's then you can switch responsibilities with the G's and T's. PST combo's down on nose to BSLB, both G's block out on 4's and the BST pulls and leads on the PSLB.
