Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I tell my players to return from where they started (mid. screen). the biggest "key" is how the QB sets up the screen. i tell my players that once they see he's shoulders (both) pointing at you and he is back pedling it's a screen! Screen to either the right or left I put a lot of pressure on my DE's to see it happening and stay with the OL, split them and tackle tailback-as soon as possible. the teams we play against don't have rec's run a route or even block on TB screens. if i can get my end to tackle the TB(which is not pass inter. in our state) then i only have to teach DE's how to play screens and the DT's can go get the QB. I have a run stopping line and a quick line, if the screen is a big problem then i'll keep a big tackle in and he has screen/draw. hope this help D.L.
