Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We are having trouble with the off tackle plays. We have a small but quick line. Any ideas on fronts or stunts would be great. Our opponent runs pro, twins, trips and dbl twins. Some te- wing Thanks
Coach, Versus off tackle plays, we like to pinch our DE's which are in 5 techs. Along with this, we will walk our spur/bandit to the C gap. Our other option is just what 3-3-5 had mentioned, walk the stacked lb up. We pretty much stay in a cover 3. When facing the te-wing it is really beneficial for us to stay in a cover 3. If it is only te-wing, we move the spur/bandit to los (still 3 yds wide) and walk corner 8 yds outside shoulder of te. He will then have the "I'm here" call which indicates to the Luke or Rob (stacked lbs) that they are free to roam b/c the corner has alley support. This is just what we do vs a te-wing off tackle play. Hope it helps...
Yes, 0 if bringing the Spur. If you slant the DE into B gap and LB into C (aligned on TE), you can still play 3 -- Mike now has Hash drop in place of OLB.
