How would trap be ran against a 3-3 with a 0 and 2 5 techs with stacks behind them. I think the best way to block it would be to have PSG on mike backer, have the PST release inside the 5 for the Sam backer, have the TE veer release to the alley player, have the center block man on and have the trapper trap the 5. The problem I see is what to do with the 2 players stacked backside. In almost all situations the center would block back for the trapping guard but with the 0 tech the center need to block him.
My question is what to do with the backside tackle. Ideally would would have him pull with the trapper and pickup the stacked backer over his 5, but what happens if the 5 crashes down? You are a man short over there.
How has trap been blocked against a 3-3 or a 3-5?

traps are very tough to run against this defense with all of the slanting and blitzing. if you guess right, the way you have described it will work. but, it playside 5 slants inside, there will be a mess with your pulling guard. the backside is very tough since it's one on two. if you guess when they're not coming you'll be fine.
You MUST plan on doubling the nose. Your PST cannot get to Sam being stacked. If he blocks Sam, Mike is most likely to be unblocked. Will reads pull and shuffles to PS A gap.
You have 5 players from tackle to tackle and we have 6!!!
OK, 3-3-5 coach, that would have been my next bit of advice. i too, wouldn't run the play. You would have to have everything guessed right, and there is just to much the defense can do that would make it impossible to guess right with any bit of effectiveness.
