Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Im currently behind one of our area's top offensive linemen (hes a senior) so Im looking for a good training program w/Running, Lifting, etc. to improve my game and give me a chance to start next year.
Keers I would be glad to help you. I have a program that I use for our offensive linemen that I think you might just like. Its hard work and will take a big commitment on your part. Will be glad to help you. Coach CAmpbell
In the offseason, we expect our lineman to eat well (to get bigger), lift according to our lifting program (to turn the size into muscle mass), run stadiums (for cardio strength and overall endurance), and either wrestle or throw shot/discus on the track team (helps keeps the grades up). Make sure you improve your line fundamentals (10 yard dash time, vertical leap, standing long jump, and shuttle time). We encourage all of our players to attend at least one full contact camp for their position (if there are financial issues we try and fundraise for them-check with your coach on equipment availability). This combined with film, regular football PE, and spring and summer workouts help the learning curve. Most of all, examine yourself. If you are objective and honest with yourself, you will probably pinpoint what areas you need improvement in better than anyone else.
Most importantly.....Learn to lead by example. Show the underclassmen coming in and up how it should be done. Leaders are not always made up of returning starters. The combination of positive attitude, humility, and hard nosed work ethic are hard to find these days. Football is your life now, but it may not be forever. If you learn these traits to play football and carry them through to your adult life, you will have much more success than if you didn't.
Good Luck. I wish more young men would commit to 'getting better'.
I am very much interested in the learning about the programs that you both have and have no problem with the hard work and commitment to help my playing ability. Id really like to put on some muscle mass to add to my weight and speed up my footwork. Im 6'3" and only 215 pounds and I believe a working combination of speed and size will help me tremendously in acheiving my goal of becoming a starter. I really appreciate this, thank you both for your time.
