Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I recently received your complete option manual. I think I am starting to understand the zone blocking concept. I have a question with the linemen's first step. In the manual, it states that linemen will ALWAYS step with their playside foot. Tell me how the line steps would look if I am running an I right formation with the defense in a 3 and 9 tech on the strongside w/backers in a 20 and 60 tech. Weakside you have a 1 and 5 tech with backers in a 20 and 60 tech. We are running a 22 belly(inside handoff to FB with TB taking a fake in 6 hole and QB around the end.) I would think that the PSG and PST tackle would Vertical push onto PSLB and C and BSG would vertical push into the BSLB. If this is correct, wouldn't the PSG have to step to the near ear of the 3 tech with his right foot, which is not his playside foot? Any clarifying thoughts would be much obliged. I love the terminology in the manual.

Brent good to hear from you. The foot that is step with first for a vertical push is dictated by the nearest ear of the nearest down lineman. For plays headed out side or plays you are trying to stretch you will step first with the playside foot. Coach CAmpbell
