Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
coaches, i was wondering what your take is on having a team that is primarily a zone blocking team, but also run traps and power running plays which involve pulling both backside guard and tackle. do you guys see that this can be easily done, or do you need to stick primarily to just one scheme. thanks.
If you have a good offensive line coach, you can do it....if you have a guy who isn't going to put in the time and manage his time, you won't be able to do it. I will be making a coaching change at that position because I was very disappointed with how our offensive line performed during the year....they never improved...could never execute a combination block...were poor drive blockers....were decent at pass pro...but never advanced. That is coaching and when it is the offensive line, you better have a guy there that is willing to "love the grind" and get after it. He needs to be your best coach. pdow

When developing a good coaching staff go out and find the best and most creative line coach that you can. Have a line coach that can get creative when establishing his drills to try and achieve the desired outcome. A good offensive line coach is worth his weight in gold. Coach CAmpbell
