any views on end/ tackle v tackle / end stunts. We run with a #3 and #1 tech tackle. Which is easier to run & why? When would you run them? We are due to face a team that plays spread offence and likes to semi - roll their QB out. He's right- handed and like most young QBs prefers to roll to his throwing side
my thoughts.
T/E to #1 tech side: difficult as #1 needs to cross G's face
E/T to #1 tech side: longer path for #1 ( and he's usually bigger and slower than #3)
T/E to #3 tech side: mechanics seem easier to this side
E/T to #3 tech side: as above due to shorter path for #3
I would guess for us the E/T to the #3 tech is best as we expect the QB to roll that way ( we play #3 to our left). If we run T/E it would leave us weak at the edge.
Run wise, they like traps and options.
