Trap Action

Our team fakes midline action and runs trap, but when we were a split back team we faked quick pitch and ran trap. What do you guys do?

Coach -

We couldn't run a basic trap play this year because we had no guard that could pull quick enough...isn't that crazy? And we averaged 420 yds per game....we passed quite a bit. However, when I do have the personnel to run the inside quick trap, I base the action as you do...off the midline. Our complementary play to that is the freeze option...last year, those two plays were very effective for us. pdow
