Tackle Iso

Yes it is called Dart in a lot of teams terminology. We ran this play a lot last year, mostly out of 2x2 spread. This year our best play was the counter GT though, especially to the QB. We block the tackle iso basically like inside zone except of course with the iso component. QB reads the backside DE.

How often does the QB pull? Who blocks he BS LB, particularly on the pull?

Here's what I remember seeing at a clinic last spring. Remember, I am also looking for clarification of the play. I think this is how the play looks running tackle iso to the right. The offense is in a spread formation, twins to both sides or or 3 X 1, the QB in the gun with the RB to the left. The QB takes the snap and puts the ball in the belly of the RB (like and option mesh). Meanwhile, the left tackle pulls to lead up the A or B gap (depending on defense). The QB reads the back side DE to see if he follows the pulling tackle. If so, he pulls and carries around the left end. That is the part I'm not so sure about. If the DE stays, he gives to the RB and fakes a boot backside to hold the DE.
I am thinking about blocking it just like iso on the playside.
Let me know what I'm missing.

we called it scat, works under center, two tite, one tite, any formation really as long as you can account for the bsde

basically the same as gt counter, except instead of the guard kick out, the psot kicks the de out by technique, by showing him pass

bsot drop step with playside foot, stay square with shoulders and hit it up through first hole past center
