Your telling me that he had great athletes all them years at BYU. I believe the man has a great offensive mind. Look what he has done with all these QBs he's had over the years. Most of these guys were not great High School QBs. Yes I do agree that USC is loaded with talent. But he did not have that type of talent at BYU.

I don't want to speak for airman, but what he may have meant (and if not, what I am saying) is that, like every good coach, the first thing he does is evaluate what his talent is and where it is, and find ways to get them the football, in space, and emphasizing their strengths. When you're at USC and Carroll is recruiting guys like Mike Williams, things become easier.

I don't know all the nuances of the offense, but I know they run a very simple system based on a handful of plays that they constantly repetition. The quarterbacks all know all the plays by heart, and they go with it. They run plenty of 3-step, letting the QB liberally check in those sort of situations to something he is comfortable in. Chow realizes that all pass offenses--all offenses really--go with how comfortable the QBs are.

The schemes themselves? I'm pretty sure I've seen the coaches on this board say they run each and every scheme that I've seen Chow's team's run, in my limited viewership.
