I got this book in the mail from Amazon yesterday and I am almost done with it. I told my fiance I would have read the entire thing in one day if I didnt have anything else to do. Do you what to know what makes De La Salle click? Its all inside. Follow De La Salle through the 2002 season. This book is Friday Night Lights, but all positive and inspiring. I will review this book again when I am done with it, and put it in my book review post.

Awesome book!!!!!!!!!! I am almost done with it. Off season training is their key. Did you see the way they pull the tires??? How do you think they put them together? Do they use 1, 2, or 3 tires? Do they tire them up using the inner tubes.
If anyone read the book and knows what I am talking about, please respond. I would like to know how the tires are set up. This is a must for this off season
I went looking for this book yesterday. Barnes & Noble (in my area) told me they could order it and it was $25.00!! Let me know Where I can find it cheaper. I've heard this is a must have type of book.
I've looked at their website (De La Salle Football - don't remember the exact site address) and downloaded a couple of articles written by Coach Lad and about Coach Lad. Not to worship, but this guy seems to seriously know what he is doing. The streak aside, he connects with the kids so well..... In my opinion, this is how it should be done. I am trying to get as much information about the De La Salle program as I can, it appears to be a blue print for success on the field as well as off of it.
The book is awesome. I read it, and after reading it, I have this feeling that the next book I read won't be able to motivate me nearly as well, and that I should just start over and read it again and again. I found myself hoping that they never lose another game, because their program is where every coach hopes and wishes his could get to. Coach Ladouceur has built the program, along with tremendous help of some great assistants, to the point where it is a machine. The program runs itself through pride, preparation, accountability, expectations, and the ownership that the players take on everyday. It is definitely a guide for every coach to build towards. I wish the Spartan program nothing but success. What a great story!
I finished the book in 4 days and it is excellent. I bought my copy from amazon.com and it was only 15 bucks plus about 3.50 for shipping. It is a tremendous book and like I said it it like Friday Night Lights but all positive. DLS is a remarkable place and Coach Lad is a remarkable man.
In terms of the tires I cant get a good idea of how many are there by just looking at the pictures but they dont look like they would be hard to make.
