Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
How do you teach your kids to "part the sea" when zone blocking the iso? Seems as if the directional rules for zone blocking would "switch" at the first uncovered lineman playside who is not called to a playside combo... or, is it something different?

KD you always zone away from the play. QQuarterback gives the hole number a then the oline zones through the enar ear of the down defenders, works extremely well. Coach ACmpbell
This year I am switching to inside zone and stretch blocking rules. My ISO was my bread and butter last year and we ran 1300 of our 1600 yards off the play, so I would like to still run it. I will not have the athletes I did last year. Please explain how to run an ISO with zone blocking. When I draw it up, zoning away from the whole (right at playside backer) seems to work until I face a 3-3 (4,0,4, 9 with backers stacked). I try to make the offense as easy as possible. I looked at calling an ISO right (I don't call a hole because we always run at the PSLB), everyone zones right, but the person that originally has the playside backer outside of them zones opposite (true double team at POA). This would allow an ISO to take place and a possible cutback if necessary.
Do I have the right thinking? How do you run yours?
Coach part the sea works throw the near ear of the nearest down defender with each linemen's butt rotating towards the hole, this creates the parting of the sea. If combo then both blockers rotate counter clockwise to the play called while tracking their LBer. Coach CAmpbell
