Gun option vs invert blitz?

I was wondering if anyone runs the gun option to the slot. What is the footwork for the slot to get into pitch relationship? Also am I correct when I say that if the invert blitzes it will be very difficult to pitch the ball to the slot. I believe that the pitch can still be made if this is done out of 2 back. Am I right with this? This will be my first year trying this offense and I would like to know how others handle this. In my area the run n shoot is very popular so coaches play alot of games with the alignments of the inverts, stemming, constant movement. I plan on using the bubble screen to try and make the defense play honest as I can. Thanks for any opinions.
