We are a power wishbone team. We run the fb trap but I don't want to go to triple option. Any ideas how to get fb more involved. ?

Coach we are a wishbone football team. We ran zone to the FB (belly). It was great play that complimented our toss game off of wishbone. Anytime we saw those LB's scraping over the top fast, we ran the belly hitting the cutback lane to keep them honest. Another play we ran out of wishbone is the G (FB give).

Coach,

First of all, I would suggest running the midline option. It is only one read, and it makes the defense respect your FB. This will allow you to send him opposite the play in the bone, and run HB leads the other way. Also, use him in a play- aciton flood pass.
