I've been doing a lot of reading up on the conjugate system and EvoSport by Jay Schroeder lately, and I've noticed that they talk quite a bit about EMS (electro muscle stimulator) units. Sooo..I was thinking I really need to get my hands on one of these, that one could really help improve my training. But, after looking around the cheapest good quality one I could find was around $1000, so that was out of the picture. But, today my mom brought one home. She and I were in a car accident about 4 years ago, and she really injured her back. She's been through all kinds of different treatments, and nothing has really helped yet. Today the doctor wrote her a prescription for this EMS unit, which to my understanding was several thousands of dollars, but the insurance company had to pay for it The dr. told her that there is no comparison to this one and the one my mother's chiropractor uses. The chiropractor's unit doesn't stimulate very far down into the tissue, but I guess the one my mom has really goes deep into the tissue, which is what the ones that EvoSport uses. It has two modes, one for pain, and one for muscle stimulation, the intensities are adjustable as well as the time, or you can insert a data card on it with a pre-programmed routine on it. So, my question is, how do I use this thing to help make me a better football player? I'm not buying into the crap that you can stick the pads onto your abs, sit in the recliner watching tv and eat a bag of potato chips and get a 6 pack. I want to know how I can use this thing as a supplement to my training and nutrition to make me a better linebacker.
