Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I understand you are trying to run best play with either mid-line, inside veer, or lead/load options. What I am not sure of is the methodology for determining best scheme.
Are you reading outside-in, or inside-out when determing which option to run..... for example, do you start with the side that does not have an outside invert, then base your rule on the presence of a 1 tech (run inside veer) or 3 tech (run midline or load) on that side?
Would a rule methodology be something like this:
1) Find outside inverts, run play to the side without an outside invert. If there are inverts on both sides, check to inside running game (inside zone, iso, etc.)
2) On the side without the inside invert: run midline to a 3 tech, run load/lead to a 1 tech, or run lead/load to a 7 tech.
Coach, yes with two outside inverts, they only have 6 in the box so attack inside. The QB would look for the 3 tech and run midline. To run load you want a 7 tech or a combination 5 and 9 to the side with no invert so the play doesn't stretch. You can also pair load and veer to the open side with no invert. if there is a 4 or 4i check to load if a 5 tech shows run inside veer. To run inside veer ultimately you would like to have a 1 tech. Coach Campbell likes to run the bump wall sheme against it. The tackle will block the 5 tech reading the PSLB. If the LB attacks the dive the tackle will come off his block and pick off the LB and the QB will pull th ball. If the LB scrapes and takes the QB the tackle will continue blocking the 5 and the QB will give to the FB. The QB will read the LB instead of the 5 tech. This is agreat play against a 4-3 scheme with no invert weak. Load is tough to run against the 4-3 due to the 9 tech cusing the play to stretch. Hope this helps.

The progression is to look to the openside invert first then to the tight side guard and then outside the tight end as a progression. I wrote the book and named this procedure "Option On Me" and you will find it holds up best when you follow that procedure of installation with your quarterbacks. Coach Campbell
What do you teach your QB to do in the option on me progression if you get a 30 look (i.e., outside inverts on each side, no 2/3/4i technique, and no 7 technique strongside).? What is your best play to check in to with a 30 look?

KD vs any 30 front slot your tight end 6 yards and run the inside veer till the cows come home. Would pair openside load with the inside veer. Coach CAmpbell
COACH CAMPBELL, I RECENTLY PURCHASED YOUR MANUAL, INSTALLING COMPLETE OPTION GAME, TWO VIDEOS: INSIDE VEER AND LOAD. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH YOUR PRODUCTS, BUT HAVE A QUESTION.
DO YOU RECOMMEND TEACHING THE "OPTION ON ME" RIGHT AWAY, OR DO YOU TEACH ALL THE OPTIONS FIRST, THEN TEACH THE QB HOW TO GET INTO THE BEST PLAY?
