Coaches,

I am in the process of building a football program and with that comes establishing a booster club.
Has anyone been directly involved with building a booster club? I have a meeting scheduled in a few weeks and plan on having 50 parents attending. Any ideas on how to organize this?

Hey Coach,

You might want to give Coach Rush Propst a call at Hoover High School in Hoover, Alabama. I read an article in AFM last year where he talked about his booster clubs. I think it said his football booster club generated about 400 or 500,000 dollars the previous year. Hoover is also a very wealthy community in Birmingham, but he might be able to give you some good ideas. If you are a subscriber to American Football Monthly, you could search their archived articles and read about it before you contact him. His team won the 6A state title again this year.
