It seems a lot of people here like this 6 man protection : man one side & RB have a double read / slide the other side & the uncovered lineman double read. Also, some like a 5 man protection with uncovered linemen double reading inside-out.
Could someone give some details about the lineman's double read ? Does he get depth immediately ? Does he help an adjacent lineman ? I'd appreciate some answers - as I'm trying to learn more about O-line play. Thanks.
