I NEED HELP ON THE CONCEPT OF THE THREE STEP AGGRESIVE RUN BLOCK THEN SETTING THE ANCHOR. HOW AGGRESSIVE SHOULD THE LINEMAN BE( SHOULD THEY ACTUALLY MAKE PROGRESS THROUGH THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE OR SET UP AT THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE). AFTER THE TIE STEP YOU HAVE YOUR POWER STEPS SHOULD THESE STEPS BE ADJUSTED TO GIVE THE DEFENSE A GREATER FALSE READ( KEEPING THEM GUESSING) OR SHOULD TIMING OF THE BALL BEING RELEASED TAKE CARE OF ANY PRESSURE OR PUSH. IT SEEMED THAT WE WERE RECEIVING GENEROUS AMOUNTS OF PRESSURE ON THE QB IN OUR 300 PROTECTION. WHAT MIGHT YOU RECCOMMEND FOR ADDITIONAL HELP TO THE O-LINE. THE PRESSURE CAME FROM A VERY AGGRESSIVE D-LINE.

With the 3 step game and using the approach of aggressive run to a pass set works the the use of applied pressure this is what keeps the defenders hands down as he works to avoid the block and to get his hands up in the throwing alley. Coach CAmpbell

in the 3 step game, the pre-snap read by the qb is essential.. and make sure you are giving the qb the best chance by using formations and motions to dictate coverages... most importantly, your route calls must be easy reads via the coverage given... I stress to our qb's that a 3 step drop is just that.. you are throwing off your 3rd step...
