Coach's Need Help - interview

Be sincerely willing to do ANYTHING for the good of the program. Scouting, stats, tape breakdown, anything you are asked to do. In fact, when I started out - scouting was one of my first assignments and I feel it really helps you learn the game and develop as a young coach. Do not be 'above' being assigned junior high football coaching duties either, some of the best and most loyal coaches I've been around started at that level. Take on any assignment with a committed effort and you will show your head coach and school you are there for the good of the players and the program. Also, attend as many coaching clinics as possible, view tapes, read books, talk to respected/successful football coaches in your area to broaden your knowledge about the game. Hope this helps.
