I just wanted to know if there are any coaches out there that use resistive bands as an auxillary aid in speed training? If you do, what kind of exercises do you do with them?
Coach, Bungi's are a tremendous part of our off season workouts. Agility= Side suffle LEFT/RIGHT Stay low quick feet 2= sprint forward back peddle pro-plant sprint 3=Duck walk and get off's Sideway shuffles 4= break to cones etc... Speed= First guy turn and run coaches command 2cd man go goes over speed training keeping great form. We use our bungi cords 4 days per week. 2 agility and 2 speed training right now. PGOLLA
Thanks HAWKOPTION. I did have some ideas, but I am always looking for new things that can make our off-season training better. It just seems to me that there are endless ideas for uses with the resistance bands. I have even thought of doing some of our dynamic stretching with the bands. Thanks for your thoughts.

Absolutely LOVE rubberbands! We stretch everyday with the rubber bands. There are endless exercises that you can do with them. I live a 20 minutes from the original innovator of jumpstretch, Dick Hartzell. I have trained under him and I have seen him give lectures and demonstrations. As far as plyometric/resistance/agility training goes, I don't think you can find a better system than jumpstretch.
