Coach KD: I got my AFM mag. yesterday and there is an article on 3-3-5. It gets into different packages fairly fast that--depending on your situation--may not be of much value at the hs level. However, it mentions a previous article by Coach Wommack entitled "Southern Pride" which can be found in the Sept. 2000 issue. I went back and looked at that earlier article. You might find it helpful with your blitz terminology. It's similar to what WV and Tulsa do with names and numbers. (If you're a subscriber, you can get to it through the "back issues" tab. If you're not you may want to consider getting a subscription; it's a good resource.) Others: Curious as to what others think about the article. Do you have completely different packages to go along with your base? Would you consider doing some of the Harding stuff? I just don't have the time to get into the different fronts. It starts to confuse the kids, which is counterproductive to one of the main reasons we started going with the odd stack. However, if we start to see a heavy dose of shotgun/1 back spread, I do like some of their adjustments. We don't see but maybe 15 plays a year though.
