Coach, How do you block sprint out when you have a 5 and a 9 outside of the tackle? I believe I understand the concept of Circling the Wagons, but if we play against a 50 defense and have two down linemen outside the center, how would you handle this?

The Tailback is on a read out pass on defender up thats not dropping, the fullback accounts for playside backer and the TB accounts for outside invert if he comes. Coach CAmpbell
Coach what do you mean by read out pass? After writing this up TE releases, DE attacks does TB pick him up since RT reaches 5 tech, RG would hinge backside, Center would have nose? thank you for clearing this up.

You would want to put the Tailback into some sort of a route when sprinting out but as he releases he is checking pressure off the edge. If pressure comes he picks it up, if outside invert drops then Tailback countinues on his route. Coach CAmpbell
